Here at NTM we are inspired to build, cultivate, and foster the local craft and design community.

Organised throughout the year in various locations in Malta, the scope of the event is to encourage visitors to discover and connect with Maltese and Malta-based creatives. With something for everyone, Nice Things Market aims to promote conscious consumerism, and actively supports small, local businesses.

Nice Things Market strives to offer an alternative shopping experience that is inclusive, multi-generational, warm and engaging.

The Team

Hi, I'm Karolina and I run il-lokal, a project associating local creatives through an online and retail shop based in Valletta.

During one of the long September afternoons of 2021, we've been discussing with Luke and Nigel from 2point3, Malta's booming creative scene and the challenges that come with a limited space of a retail outlet. We felt that in order to paint an accurate picture of what's currently happening on the islands, we as a creative community need to stick together and get out there, in numbers!

This is how Nice Things Market came to be.

I organise the venues, coordinate promotion and work with Vendors. 2point3 does Art Direction and graphic design.

Together, we produce, jury and curate. All in-house by our small yet mighty team.
